The leading lighting company has helped Harry Corry implement an energy-saving strategy with a complete refit of around 50 branches across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland as well as a number of branches in Scotland.
The Harry Corry project is currently in the final stages of completion, bringing to an end a two-year process that has all the hallmarks of Saturn LED’s attention to detail, as Louise McKee, Office Manager, explained.
“We started out by carrying out complete lighting audits of all the Harry Corry stores and then providing a proposal, that included lighting calculations focused on the energy savings our products would create,” said Louise. “We not only had to reduce energy costs but Harry Corry also wanted to ensure uniformity across all the branches, in particular with the front-of-house lighting.
“As part of our overall service. we even completed the necessary paperwork for the grant applications every branch.”
As well as offering energy-saving calculations and a customer-focused service, the breadth of Saturn LED’s product portfolio was also a key factor in the Harry Corry project. Mars backlit LED panels have been installed in the shop floor areas of all the branches, but Saturn LED also provided a complete range of standard and emergency lighting options for the ‘back-of-house’ areas.
The project also tested Saturn LED’s logistic capabilities.
“To prevent any disruption to customers, the work had to be carried out in the evening or overnight, when the stores were closed. That placed an added pressure on the contractor, Glackin Electrical, so we had to ensure they had a complete delivery on-site and everything was ready to be installed.
“There was little room for error and, overall, the project ran smoothly. A lot of that was down to the strong relationship we have built up with John Hanley and the entire team at Harry Corry. It’s a relationship we’re very keen to continue.” Harry Corry has been impressed by the final outcome and the solution-driven approach by Saturn LED.
