Twin and earth cable is changing to comply with the new IS201-4:2013 standard and to ensure installers can adhere to the new regulations Prysmian has developed a new cable that is now available from Precision Cables.
September 5, 2017 sees the implementation of amendment no. 2.2 of the ETCI National Rules for Electrical Installations 4th Edition ET101:2008 and the new PRYS201 range from Prysmian meets the new standard.
The amendment requires the protective conductor to be insulated (green/yellow) and to be the same cross-sectional area as the phase conductor.
This change applies to all sizes of the twin and earth range from 1sq mm through to 16sq mm. Prysmian products are delivered to you in Ireland by Precision Cables. At the facility in Dundalk, cable can be custom cut to your specific requirements. In addition, stocked at the warehouse is an extensive range of cables and accessories including:
