The senior management each have an average of 30 years’ experience delivering products and services locally, nationally and internationally. The aim of Metartec is to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) with high quality product and a high credence service.

Metartec has spent the last 10 years enhancing its current relationships and forming new strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers. Therefore, Metartec has retained many customers and grown its portfolio of new customers year on year. The continued success in the critical power market has allowed Metartec to provide its customers with an unrivalled end to end bespoke in-house package.

SERVICING SOFTWARE
As part of Metartec’s Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), a specifically designed servicing software was created. This maintenance software ensures that every part of a UPS is tested, and measurements are downloaded from the measuring instrument directly into the program. Any measurement that is outside the pre-set tolerances are highlighted and corrective action proposed. Upon completion of a PPM, a standard 18-page report is produced that ensures condition monitoring from one visit to the next is an easy process.

An online password protected Extranet can also be created for Metartec’s contract customers. This online document handling system grants customers access from any internet enabled device. The information available to view are contract details, site details, site visit dates, asset information, and service work history with maintenance results. Access to information from anywhere and at any time.

SERVICE CONTRACTS
The delivery of customised solutions, in the form of bespoke servicing and maintenance products, has helped retain contracts, with the likes of NATS, SunGard, SONI, EA, DEFRA, Pfizer and Bombardier. Metartec has also secured new contracts with Department for Transport, Belfast Metropolitan College, RSA and Liverpool Victoria (LV). Metartec’s field engineers are factory trained at the company’s Belfast training centre (Solutions House) which contains a new product demonstration area for engineers/customers and a legacy product training line. This training and service centre is the location for spare parts for many different UPS brands and models. Customer training, from introductory to advanced and Factory Acceptance Tests, also takes place in Solutions House.

CUSTOMISED SOLUTIONS
Metartec’s range of high efficiency own brand UPS products are ‘Unlocked by Software’ and can be used in applications from an of ce to a data centre, which ensures Metartec has a solution to suit most UPS requirements. Unlocked by Software means that an equipment owner can utilise their preferred service supplier and have access to spare parts via Metartec should they be required. Unlocked by software has a major impact in reducing TCO, so customers are always provided with the best technical solution with the service choice.

CONSULTATIVE SERVICE
As part of Metartec’s consultative service, Metartec always ensure customers understand all the options available to them so that they have a reduced TCO. This includes looking at efficiency, the cost of consumable parts, as well as the time and cost to maintain their current systems. If the cost of upkeep for the current UPS exceeds the investment of new equipment, then the customer would be advised to go with a high efficiency replacement product.

Some of these include the CENTI M, DECI M, DEKA M and MEGA M. Metartec supplies a range of maintenance and servicing plans which suit every customer from inspection only to fully comprehensive.
