ECI Lighting, the oldest lighting company in Ireland, has opened a new architectural and design showroom in North Park, Dublin.
The construction comes just months after the company launched a €25m energy efficiency fund to help Irish SME’s upgrade their lighting to LED technology at no upfront capital cost.
The showroom will promote some of the most exclusive IoT lighting products available globally and the new offices will also house the company’s in-house architectural design team.
Speaking at the opening event, Declan Hanratty, MD of ECI Lighting, said, “It is a really exciting time for ECI as a business. We are hiring more talented people every month, growing our Prelux brand here and abroad and this facility will be a fantastic resource for Irish architects, consulting engineers, wholesale partners, planners and lighting designers to come and view our industry-leading LED technology.”
Officially opening the new offices and showrooms, Minister Damien English T.D. said, “I am delighted to be here to recognise your company’s achievements over almost 60 years, as well as the significant new investment in your lighting as a service business, which will result in more jobs for our economy. We look forward to helping ECI with your ambitious international growth plans, with the assistance of Enterprise Ireland, and wish your entire team the very best in the coming years.”
ECI Lighting was established in 1960 by the Hanratty family and has grown over almost 60 years to become one of the leading suppliers of lighting products in Ireland.
The company is privately held and distributes to over 150 wholesale channel partners from its Dublin, Cork and Belfast offices. In addition, an award-winning in-house architectural lighting design team have delivered over 500 projects such as RCSI in Dublin (RIAI Ireland’s Favourite Building 2018), Trinity College, Dublin Port, Oracle EMEA HQ (Lighting Project of the Year 2018), National Museum Collins Barracks, VHI, Capital Dock and Adare Manor.
