The Arklow branch of Brennan’s Electrical recently got a makeover and is now nearly double the size it was.
Boasting a new showroom for the wholesale side of the business and an impressive new range of outdoor garden lighting, the branch has been completely revamped and modernised.
“We’ve made the premises much larger by expanding into the old storeroom next door,” said Craig O’Reilly, Arklow Branch Manager. “Our previous wholesale counter was probably 4 x 4m whereas the new one is probably 20m wide, so it’s significantly bigger. “This was a much-needed expansion; we were way too cramped and felt like we could never really excel ourselves. The refurbishment has changed how the branch is viewed by both the public and contractors alike. Craig added, “Before we invested in the upgrade, our customers would have assumed we didn’t carry the item they were looking for. The presumption was that as we were quite small, our trade counter wouldn’t be well stocked which actually wasn’t the case at all. Now, electrical contractors are coming in and realising that we carry a very diverse range of products. We’re also attracting more members of the public.”
