Ledburn Cables is an independently owned cable distributors based in Dublin and was founded in 2005 by Jack Ledwidge and David Blagburn. Now it is time for the company to reach new heights, with the appointment of Keith Hendrick as General Manager.
Keith joined in October 2022 and brings over 10 years of experience, having worked at EWL Eastern Electrical as a sales representative, profit centre manager and regional support manager. “I started with EWL as a graduate trainee and then went on to manage three branches before taking on a commercial role in the company,” Keith commented. “My previous experience is very relevant to my new role, as running an EWL business is the closest thing you will get to running your own business. Being involved in every aspect of the company has given me the experience necessary for the next step in my career with Ledburn Cables.”
The new General Manager had been a customer of Ledburn Cables for many years and had come to know Jack and Dave during that time. According to Keith, this is another step in the right direction for his career. “I’m looking forward to the challenge and developing the business. Being given the responsibility to run and shape an already successful business is exciting to me,” he added.
During the first months in the new position, Keith plans to get to know the staff and the customers. “Understanding their needs will be essential for me to develop the business,” he explained. “Increasing our range of products to our customers is definitely something I’ll be looking to do, as well as bringing in changes on the technology side, which will enhance our service levels even further.”
It is still early days, but Keith is also ready to guide the company through the transformations brought by new technologies. “The way we have to do business is changing, with technology coming to the forefront, so we have to move and adapt with that,” he said. “Challenges regarding logistics and raw material shortages are not disappearing overnight, so we will have overcome that.”
In his free time, Keith enjoys playing for his local Gaelic football club and going to the gym but the General Manager is kept busy with a young family. “It is all go at the moment!” he commented.
One-stop shop for cables
Ledburn Cables stocks a full range of cables for different applications, including data and security, fire, control, house wiring and power. The distributors also offer digital TV cables and satellite multivision cables. They are equipped with six cutting machines and lifting equipment for up to six tonnes.
