Wilsons Auctions is the largest independent auction company in the UK and Ireland and the installation of the Greenlamp UFO hi bays has transformed the extensive Dublin facilities at Kingswood Interchange at Exit 2 Naas Road, Corkagh, Dublin 22, to provide better quality lighting.
The existing fittings at Wilsons Auctions consisted of 37 400w metal halide hi bays, which were replaced with 44 100w UFO LED hi bays.
Not only do the UFO fittings meet the aesthetic requirements set by the client but, more importantly, they have proved more even more cost effective.
Michael Carroll of Preslite – distributors of the Greenlamp brand – explained, “The savings reached from the retrofit of the UFO range amount to €6,115.80 per annum in running costs alone. When you add to this the lamp replacement and maintenance costs savings, it’s a huge amount overall.
“We have estimated that the payback on the installation will be less than 8 months, which is really impressive and highlights just how effective a lighting upgrade this is.”
