ELECTEX Dublin 2019 Review

Established in 2013, the annual ELECTEX Dublin two-day event brought a diverse industry together for event to celebrate an environment of knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Record numbers attended this year’s ELECTEX Dublin, Ireland’s biggest two-day electrical trade event. Between the seminars, the apprentice skills challenge and the hundreds of brands on display over the two-day event, there was something for everyone this year.

The 2019 ELECTEX Dublin Trade Event has been hailed as the best one yet!

APPRENTICES CHALLENGE

This year’s event saw the launch of the ‘Apprentice Skill Challenge’, were over 200 apprentices performed a few basic but fun challenges.

Participants were scored on how well they completed particular challenges. Two lucky winners received prizes, while attendees got to see for themselves exactly what the next generation is capable of.

EXPERT SPEAKERS

Attendees at this year’s ELECTEX Dublin were treated to two very informative seminars.

Speakers at this year’s event included Charles Dunn, Chairman of the NSAI Standards Committee responsible for Electrical Installations, ETC TC 2. With standing room only in the seminar area, Charles talked about the new wiring rules and answered questions posed by the attentive audience.

Mary White, Head of the Brexit Unit at the NSAI discussed what the sector will look like post-Brexit and the issues around CE Markings.
