Ed moves from Century Electrical’s Dunmurry branch where he worked for nearly eight years. He has previously worked for H.Ritchie & Sons in Belfast as well as spending a year working for an electrical wholesaler in Toronto, Canada.
Ed commented, “I started in the electrical trade as soon as I left school and I’ve carried out a wide range of roles, including working in the warehouse, at the trade counter, in sales, administration and purchasing. All these experiences help me to understand the needs of our customers.” He added, “I was well aware of the Aurora brand and knew it as a reliable and innovative range of LEDs. Personally, I have to believe in the product that I’m selling, and I have real faith in the Aurora range.”
Ed started in his new role in September and since then he has been working hard to meet up with electrical wholesalers, architects, consultants and end-users. “The response has been really positive,” he said. “The innovative nature of our product range brings with it advantages in terms of energy and cost savings and easy installation, which are high on the trade’s agenda. Des Duignan, Aurora Lighting Director, said, “I am absolutely delighted that Ed has joined the Aurora team in Ireland. Ed’s knowledge and ability has already made an significant impression on the region.”
