Dowds Group launches 40 for 40 campaign

Dowds Group is marking the company’s 40th anniversary by aiming to raise £40,000 through the company’s 40 for 40 charity challenge.

Four charities will benefit from a wide range of events undertaken throughout the year. The four charities are the Electrical Industries Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, Aware NI, and The Boom Foundation.

Events and fundraisers already lined up include Dowds Group Family Fun Day, Ógie’s EBC Challenge, Belfast Marathon, Rat Race – The Crossing, a corporate golf day, and a London event.

The challenge got off to the best possible start, with Dowds Group raising £5,000 at the Christmas at the Races event that doubled up as the official launch of the 40 for 40 campaign.

Malone Lighting was the main sponsor of Christmas at the Races, and eight companies sponsored individual races – Solmatix Renewables, KEW Electrical, Chroma Lighting, Gordons Electrical, Edmundson Electrical, Greenville, Midland Fixings Ltd and Crown Industries.
